Hirudotherapy. Hirudotherapy in gynecology.

Hirudotherapy is the use of medical leeches for medicinal purposes. This method has a rich, more than two-thousand-year history of existence in many countries of the world.

Hirudotherapy differs from other therapeutic techniques in that the effect occurs as a result of the generation of a complex complex of body reactions to the action of a living leech. This blood-sucking ringworm during suction secretes into the skin of a person special substances that prevent blood clotting. The therapeutic effect is exerted by very insignificant blood loss, and a large number of biologically active substances that come with leech saliva. Induced responses to the impact are both local and general.

The clinical effect of hirudotherapy is largely determined by the site of suction, the choice of which depends on the nature and stage of the disease, the presence of concomitant diseases. Multifaceted influence of leeches( reflex, mechanical and biological) makes it possible to use them for treatment of a wide range of diseases, and also allows to remove edema, creates drainage effect, restores microcirculation of blood and lymph, and serves as a powerful stimulant of immunity.

The method of therapy with leeches is so effective and outwardly simple that many people would like to engage in self-medication. This desire is quite naive, because in order to achieve a positive effect and avoid complications, it is necessary to know the exact anatomy of a person, to take into account the patient's mental and physical condition, to know the accompanying diseases. It should be borne in mind that the ability to apply leeches correctly depends on the qualification of the therapist. Hirudotherapy in the home is possible, but it can only be done by an experienced health worker, or if a person who wants to use leeches himself has been trained by a specialist.

The health of a modern person is much weaker than what was 2-3 more generations ago. Hirudotherapy in gynecology has several advantages over traditional methods of medicine in this field. It is known that violations in the genitourinary area occur against a background of some visceral pathology( disruption of the gastrointestinal tract, thyroid gland, general metabolism, neurosis).What do we observe in the usual treatment? Patients with inflammations are prescribed antibiotics in combination with physiotherapy, with many other pathologies - synthetic analogues of natural hormones. The effect of these drugs is specific and focused on the gynecological problem, after the treatment, the percentage of relapses and the continuation of the chronic course of the disease is high.

But, unlike natural medicine, unrecognized by official science, hirudotherapy in gynecology deservedly entered the arsenal of highly effective methods that really help women.
