Flowers on this plant grow water-lily, pale pink. They are always collected in small-flowered climbing brushes. The fruits of it have the shape of a ball, their color is red, they are not edible. Bearberry, the application of which can be different, blooms in May-July, and fruit begins in August. Externally bearberry is very similar to cranberries, but the difference between these plants is very high.
A lot of it can be found in dry light deciduous and pine forests, on chipped mountain slopes, in young pine plantations, and also on felling. You can meet it in the European part of our country, the Far East, and also Siberia. Still it can be found in the Carpathians or in the Caucasus.
People use only bearberry leaves for their own purposes. In rare cases, the bearberry extract is made from flowers. Most often, the leaves are dried together with the stems, since in the future they will be easy to separate. Dry useful plant in the attic or in a special dryer, the temperature in which you can raise to fifty or eighty degrees. The finished raw material has no smell, and its taste is bitter and astringent.
Bearberry, whose application is truly multifaceted, contains methyl arbutin, glycoside arbutin, hydrolyzed tannins, formic, ellagic, cinnamon, and ursolic acid, gallotanin, ellatanine, and various flavonoidsand much more.

It contains a substance that has a diuretic, as well as an antiseptic effect. It is a glycoside attribute, which in the kidneys breaks down into hydroquinone and glucose. Hydroquinone is a useful substance that not only kills microbes, but also eliminates inflammatory processes. Thanks to him, bearberry is an excellent tool for treating the urinary tract and the bladder itself. In general, it is worth noting that the urinary tracts of people who take bearberry are cleaned from inflammation products, as well as from bacterial flora.
With heart edema, a decoction or infusion of this herb can be used as a medicine. Also it is taken with urethritis, pyelitis, with bloody urine, and with nephrolithiasis. These funds can also be used to prevent involuntary urination.
How to prepare a broth of bearberry
To prepare a decoction you need ten grams of a plant for every two hundred milliliters of water. When cystitis it will need to eat up to four times a day for two or three teaspoons.
