Life expectancy of a person
Since ancient times, people have dreamed of gaining immortality. Legends, artifacts, giving immortality, searching for heroes and lords of states, were forming about the search for life-giving elixirs. And even a well-known science alchemy was looking for a philosophical stone, which, besides turning everything into gold, had one more, no less important function: it gave immortality to man.
Naturally, all the legends and myths were based on real( to a greater or lesser extent) events, the purpose of which was to increase the life expectancy of a person, to make him if not immortal, then at least a long-liver.
Surprisingly, little has changed in life. After all, modern medicine is essentially aimed at the same thing - to increase life expectancy, to save people from various diseases. And the persistence of people in the field of seeking a cure for death already has a truly manic character. Do not believe me? Then remember the people who give their bodies "to better times" for conservation, turn to African shamans and even, in their opinion, sell the soul to the devil. These methods are radical, however, they do not always bring really visible and meaningful results.
But as always happens in the most difficult questions, the answer lies on the surface and is simple enough: the life expectancy of a person directly depends on the conditions of his life, profession, body condition and health care. And of course, old age is an inevitable process, but any person can do something to slow it down, sometimes quite significantly. This can be done, for example, with special drugs that slow the aging process.
In general, life expectancy is only 30% due to genetics, while the remaining 70% go to factors of the environment and lifestyle. That is, more specifically, it depends on such factors as:
- ecology( it is proved that the average life expectancy in countries with better ecology is much larger than in contaminated ones);
- sleep mode( a person needs to sleep from 6 to 9 hours a day, less or more is already harmful, while it is desirable that sleep was in the dark time of day);
- nutrition( scientists have proved that a person who adheres to a low-calorie diet significantly slows the development of atherosclerosis and has a longer life expectancy);
- physical culture( sports affect the general state of the body);
- the presence of diseases, immunity( people with weak immunities expose their bodies to the risk of acquiring various diseases, the presence of the same illnesses significantly affects the life time, for example, the life expectancy of HIV-infected people is significantly lower than that of healthy people);
- economic component( people with high incomes in any country in the world live longer).
So, if you observe all the "laws" of longevity, your life expectancy can be increased. If we talk about records, then there is a Frenchwoman who lived 122 years and 164 days, thus setting a record for life expectancy, fixed scientifically. In Russia, a record time lived one resident of Yakutia, whose life expectancy was more than 117 years. Their secret was simple: they led a healthy lifestyle, did not overeat, engaged in physical culture, went to bed early and got up early. If you follow these simple rules, you can easily join the increasingly expanding list of centenarians.
It's not about alchemy, or even about African shamans: we( like in almost any life situation) ourselves act as blacksmiths of our own happiness and our lives. If you want to live long, start taking care of it right now. It is unlikely that you will be able to get rich right away or move to a more environmentally friendly area, but no one bothers to do sports or change your diet.
