Electrophoresis with euphyllinum
The method of administering medicaments to the human body through mucous membranes or skin using a pulsed or permanent galvanic current is called drug electrophoresis. This method of drug administration is used in the treatment of neurological manifestations of osteochondrosis, Novocaine, euphyllin, sulfate magnesia and bee venom preparations are used as a medicine. Medicinal electrophoresis with euphyllinum has a resolving, anti-inflammatory and anesthetic effect, and also improves the conductivity of nerve fibers and the blood supply of tissues, normalizes the state of the central nervous system.
Also, drug electrophoresis is used to treat diseases such as arthrosis and arthritis, bronchial asthma, vegetovascular dystonia, chronic bronchitis, peptic ulcer, CNS diseases, hypertension, gynecological diseases, etc.
One of the advantages of this method is the possibility of using a wide variety of medicinalpreparations. Thus, in the complex treatment of diseases of the nervous system, as well as diseases accompanied by circulatory disorders, electrophoresis with eufillin is used, and in the treatment of diseases of the spine, hernia, heart diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, calcium electrophoresis. In the treatment of a disease such as atherosclerosis, novocaine and iodine are used as a medicine. In the treatment of gynecological diseases, electrophoresis with zinc is used. In the presence of inflammatory processes of the respiratory system, as well as bronchial asthma, electrophoresis with potassium is prescribed, and rheumatic diseases are treated with hydrocortisone. Hypertensive disease can also be treated in this way, with the appointment of electrophoresis with magnesia. When carrying out electrophoresis, the therapeutic effect is exerted not only by the drug administered, but also by the electric current.
Electrophoresis with eufillin: mechanism of action
In this procedure, drugs through the sebaceous gland ducts, intercellular spaces and ducts of sweat glands are introduced into tissues in the form of negatively and positively charged ions. Most of the medicinal products are deposited in the skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue, this ensures their long-term( within a day or more), focal and reflex influence on the body. Due to the action of the current, the sensitivity of tissues to the injected drugs increases and their activity increases, since they are introduced into the tissues of the organism in a chemically pure form. Also, in addition, the action of galvanic current irritates skin receptors, which leads to stimulation of lymph flow and circulation, speeds up metabolic processes, and reduces pain.
The procedure is absolutely painless, it is possible only the appearance of a slight tingling, although at first glance it seems threatening, because it would seem that an aqueous solution of the drug and an electric current are incompatible things.
For this procedure, electrodes and medical pads are used from several layers of gauze or filtered paper impregnated with the drug. The duration of the procedure is 25-30 minutes, and the course of treatment - at least 10-15 procedures, conducted every other day.
Despite its usefulness, electrophoresis with eufillin and other medications is not for everyone. There are a number of contraindications, including: skin diseases, the presence of tumors and heart rhythm disturbances, individual intolerance to DC( polygonal extrasystole, atrial fibrillation), febrile conditions, high blood pressure and cardiovascular insufficiency.
