Treatment exercises for the spine with osteochondrosis
Osteochondrosis is a complex violation of the functioning of articular cartilage. The disease is able to develop in absolutely any joint, but most often there is a lesion of intervertebral discs. This pathology is quite common among the population and it is expressed as a strong thinning of the disc, resulting in impaired nerves, and there is a localized pain of varying intensity. In most cases, the disease covers the lumbar region, since the maximum load on the vertebrae is observed in this place. Unfortunately, modern medicine has not yet found ways to restore cartilaginous tissue, so almost all exercises for the spine with osteochondrosis involve the removal of pain and discomfort.
The main cause of discomfort is the displacement of the disc, as a result of which the nearby nerves responsible for the movement are squeezed. Thus, soreness can be observed not only in the region of the vertebrae, but also spread to the limbs. The best fixation of the discs are deep dorsal muscles, so the basic physical exercises for osteochondrosis of the spine should be aimed at strengthening this particular area. In addition, weight training allows you to hold calcium in the bones of the skeleton, which prevents further destructive processes in the joints. If you have diagnosed osteochondrosis of the lumbar spine, the exercises should be performed only after the pain syndrome disappears. At the acute stage of the disease, it is better to start exercising in a reclining position, and as physical improvements can be carried out, sitting on a chair or standing.
