For this procedure, you must first purchase a rubber gas pipe in the pharmacy. It is a rubber catheter with a rounded, blind end, near which there are oval holes for the escape of gases. - 2-3 diapers;
- the vessel with water.
Procedure
Many young, inexperienced mothers are concerned about the question: "How is the gas pipe set?"The question is important, because the wrong introduction of the catheter will not facilitate, but only aggravate the situation. Let's look at the basic rules. Before you start the procedure, you need to undress the baby and lay it on the back, placing an oilcloth with a diaper under the ass. Then, after thoroughly brushing the rounded end of the tube with vaseline oil, push the child's buttocks with his left hand, and begin to insert the catheter with the right rotational and translational movements. The depth of infusion for infants is 7-8 cm, children 1-2 years - 8-9 cm. For convenience, it is best to note centimeters in advance on the tube to stop in time when the catheter is moving in the gut.
After the gas tube has been installed to the newborn, it is necessary to check the exhaust gases. For this purpose, a vessel with water is used, into which the free end of the catheter is lowered. If bubbles appear in the water, then everything is done correctly. So, you can wait for the baby with a diaper. Usually, 30 minutes are enough for the baby to feel relieved and calm down.
Setting the gas tube without consequences
During the procedure, you can stroke the baby's belly clockwise. This promotes the movement of accumulated gases through the intestinal tract. Remove the gas outlet tube slowly, with rotational movements, trying not to harm the baby. Then the child is washed and processed skin around the anus with a baby cream. If the gases are not properly removed, the procedure can be repeated after 3-4 hours.
