This article is about what the fertile period is. In the modern world, a lot of different literature appears, from which adults and adolescents draw information. However, it is not always clear not only for the young generation, but also for adults. That's why there are more and more forums on the Internet where people who are far from medicine share a dubious experience.

Question: "What is the fertility period?" Can be seen quite often. It is necessary to understand that fertility is the ability to conceive, and this term refers not only to women, but also to men.

Fertile period can be designated as a conditional time in which a woman can become pregnant, and a man is able to fertilize. However, this gap is simply impossible to take in a clear framework, because it depends on many factors.

Let's start from the very beginning. In the body of a woman, a number of follicles in the ovary matures monthly. Most often, only one mature follicle, called the egg, reaches the final stage. It is separated from the ovary and enters the fallopian tubes on the 14th day of the menstrual cycle. After the egg has entered the uterine cavity, it remains viable for 24 hours. And in order for it to be fertilized, we need spermatozoa, which, in turn, live 48 hours after entering the uterus. Accordingly, by simple mathematical calculations, it can be concluded that the fertile period on average is 2-3 days per month.

However, not everything is so perfect in real life. If you take into account that the menstrual cycle of a woman fluctuates on average from 21 to 32 days, and spermatozoa can also live from 1 day to 4 days, the fertile period can vary significantly for each individual woman from one to seven days. Due to the fact that women have such different biological cycles, one is very easy to conceive, and for others this is a problem of all life.

It is also necessary to take into account the fact that in a year a woman can have 2-3 anovulatory cycles, i.е.when the egg does not ripen and does not go into the uterine cavity. This is a kind of "weekend days" of the ovaries. This also affects the fertile period, not to mention such factors as the hormonal status of men and women, the state of their organs and systems, nutrition and lifestyle. All these nuances, of course, play a big role in the formation of the period of childbearing. We must not forget that the full health of both partners is important for the period of fertility. The quality and fertility of spermatozoa is also of great importance.

Thus, the fertile period is a very abstract concept, and the only thing permanent in it is that it is a time when a woman can become pregnant under certain conditions.

If we talk about the age fertile period, then the framework is also impossible to establish. However, in each individual country the age of the woman is determined, after which she is not recommended to give birth to a child, but is not prohibited. Casual cases of pregnancies of girls of primary school age and adolescents are described in the history. However, this is not the norm in any country in the world.

Reproductive age for both women and men is limited by nature itself. After all, if by virtue of its physiological characteristics a woman can no longer become pregnant, then she can not tolerate a normal healthy child - this is the way nature is built.

Certainly, this situation is now trying to change modern doctors by introducing new technologies into medicine. However, in the first place it is a question of the young generation, which is able to endure the baby and give him everything necessary.

Summing up, it must be emphasized that the fertile period is determined only by nature, but its duration depends on the people themselves.
