Somewhere in the army

Friends, I'll tell you a story that happened to me personally. It was in the army. Military exercises were held, but most of all, these events were remembered not by a large accumulation of military contingent, nor by marches, shots, firings and hand-to-hand fights. Most of all I remember how I was removed wisdom tooth or, more accurately, my feelings at the same time.

In general, if you do not know, then when the teeth are cut, wisdom teeth grow, the symptoms can be quite unpleasant:

  • soreness,
  • tissue inflammation,
  • tightening of surrounding teeth.

Sometimes, urgent dental care is needed. In my case, it was somewhat different. I removed the wisdom tooth for quite a different reason. That is, yes, when the wisdom teeth grew, the temperature was elevated for a while, but no special complications were observed. That's the whole point, that the tooth was healthy and did not hurt. At the exercises with me, there was a double fracture of the jaw. In the hospital, the tires were put on the jaw. A few days passed, maybe a week, and it seemed to me personally that the jaw successfully fused and healed.

But suddenly the doctor "remembered" that in order to avoid complications, I need to remove wisdom tooth. It was something! Despite the anesthesia, it was very painful and it seemed that not only the wisdom tooth was removed, but the jaw was also broken again. Maybe it was. At least, the condition worsened, even the neck swelled.

Actually, wisdom teeth are often removed. In some people, they grow crooked, creating interference in the mouth and irritating the gums. But in my case everything was different. However, I know from the lectures in the medical school, that with the wisdom teeth there are many problems. They grow up last. Improper positioning makes it difficult to brush your teeth. They accumulate plaque, leading to the development of caries. And it is not easy or even impossible to fill such teeth.

Therefore, due to the fact that the wisdom tooth has not been removed in due time, problems can arise with other teeth. It is also very problematic if these teeth erupt not completely and partially remain under the gums. This is already a clear pathology, between the gum and the tooth can accumulate bacteria, the remains of food. There are such symptoms:

  • Appearance of an unpleasant smell from a mouth;
  • Severe pain;
  • Inflammation, swelling of the gums.

Wisdom teeth, and completely erupted, sometimes cause neuralgic pains, as well as damage to the roots of neighboring teeth. Here, of course, the reason for appealing to the dentist, as they say "in person."Any of the previously listed reasons is a good way to remove problem teeth. And it is desirable to do this as soon as possible, without delay. It is easier to make such removal in adolescence. Then the roots were not completely formed and the density of the surrounding bone is not large.

Other indications for removal

  • The tooth injures the cheek or tongue, prevents bite;
  • Deep caries;
  • Parodontium infection;
  • Jaw fracture;
  • Preparation for the treatment of other teeth if the wisdom tooth creates obstacles.

The operation to remove the wisdom teeth is difficult, as I personally learned from my own experience. The healing after such an operation occurs the quicker and painlessly, the easier the removal itself is.

Often complications in the removal of wisdom teeth are the so-called "dry holes".If the person who has removed the wisdom tooth, too vigorously it rinses, then a blood clot does not form or falls out. You should know that this clot just helps with the healing process and should not be removed. Dry holes on the contrary slow down this process, and after removal in a couple of days, the patient feels dull pain. Such symptoms require urgent medical attention, which will take appropriate measures.

But, it is possible that you are all right and the dentist did not find any problems. Well, then just examine your teeth and carefully look after them!
