How does the liver ache?
At school in the lessons of anatomy, the human structure is studied. Therefore, even a pupil of the middle classes knows that in the right upper quadrant there is a liver - a unique organ, on whose work the general condition of the organism depends.
First, all food and water are split in the digestive system, the bile to which the liver supplies.
Secondly, from the remaining nutrients in the body it is in the liver that everything that we have is built.
Third, it is a forge of iron, glycogen, folic acid and many other elements necessary for the body.
Fourth, this body produces proteins, including those proteins that affect blood coagulability.
Fifthly, the liver destroys harmful substances in the blood, thus preventing damage to other organs.
How does the liver hurt? The answer is no, because the structure of the liver is such that there are no pain receptors in it. But in case of violations of activity, it increases in size and presses on the capsule in which it is located. And the walls of the capsule have pain receptors and give a signal about the disease.
Statistics show that the main causes of liver damage are alcohol and the ingress of infections that cause hepatitis, as well as drugs, inappropriate food and water.
If the liver hurts, the symptoms in the initial stage may be similar to the flu or cold, and also appear:
- fast fatigue from any kind of work,
- bitterness in the mouth,
- heartburn,
- pain in the right side,
- yellownessskin and eyeball.
And yet, how does the liver ache? Symptoms depend, first of all, on what causes the disease. Physicians conditionally divide liver diseases into diffuse and focal. Viral and alcoholic cirrhosis is very common. If you do not take timely measures, they can lead to disability. A timely treatment can save a person from these diseases, because the liver has a unique function - self-regeneration. If you change the diet and diet, take medications prescribed by your doctor, liver cells begin to recover.
How does the liver ache and infection occur?
The disease with acute hepatitis develops depending on which virus( A, B, C, D, E and F) it is caused by.
Hepatitis A is spread through contaminated foods and water. The disease is not severe and does not become chronic.
Hepatitis B is transmitted through the bloodstream or during sexual contact, without treatment it can go on into a chronic form.
Hepatitis C is also transmitted through the blood and during sexual intercourse, most often ends in a chronic form.
Virus D does not cause disease on its own, it can join the virus B.
The virus E enters the body through products, and the virus F - through the blood. Their influence has not been studied yet.
Acute hepatitis can result from excessive drinking, taking certain medicines.
Acute viral hepatitis is manifested primarily by icteric form of onset of the disease, nausea and vomiting, fever. But an insidious disease can occur without any symptoms.
How does the liver ache and what are the tumors in it?
Tumors are divided into benign and malignant. With a benign tumor, there are no signs. Most often these are hemangiomas, which are formed on the blood vessels of the liver.
A cyst in the liver is a cavity filled with a liquid that can have a parasitic origin. It can signal the occurrence of pain in the right hypochondrium, jaundice, skin itching.
Malignant tumor - liver cancer. Most often the initial stage is asymptomatic, later symptoms of liver disease appear.
Tumors are treated, usually by surgery.
